Abstract: This has emerged as an era where technology accelerates at an alarming rate, positioning the interplayof law and technology as a seminal space for new, revolutionary legal practices. As technologiesadvance, one shall find how AI, blockchain, digital surveillance, and data privacy are transforming thelegal landscape worldwide and in India. The document further makes reference to the challenges thattechnological advancement has been introducing in such areas as issues of ethics with AI, cybercrime,and the security-privacy balance. In that regard, the chapter will critically examine the regulation andlegislation measures countries, particularly India, are taking or copying from across the borders. Basedon this analysis of key legal frameworks and judicial interventions, this chapter aims to further insightinto the changes that are taking place with regard to law in response to the needs of a digitallytransformed society and to make recommendations for reforms of legal governance during the age oftechnology.
