Abstract: New record of Lichenophanes varius (Illiger, 1801) (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae) in southwestern Poland.Lichenophanes varius (Illiger, 1801) is considered rare or endangered in most European countries and is protected at various levels. In Poland, L. varius is regarded as an extremely rare species. Until 1999, only two sites were listed, after 2000, this species was recorded from five localities. In this article the authors present new records of this rare species in south-western Poland.
