Abstract: Land degradation, a consequence of erosion, of loss of biodiversity and of climate change, is one of the major environmental challenges of our time that can only be solved by combining knowledge from a variety of disciplines. However, current land degradation assessments rely on the Trends.Earth plugin, which requires both Quantum GIS (QGIS) software and Google Earth Engine (GEE) access, creating significant barriers for widespread adoption and operational scalability.
