Intelligent Load Distribution for Transformers Using Arduino
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Transformer overloads are common in power distribution systems, leading to overheating, reduced efficiency, and potential failure. This paper proposes a system for automatic load sharing between two transformers using an Arduino microcontroller, to prevent transformer damage under overloaded conditions. The proposed system utilizes a current sensor, relay switching, and a real-time monitoring algorithm to dynamically balance the load between the primary and a secondary transformer. The system ensures that both transformers operate within safe thermal limits, reducing downtime, and maintenance costs, and enhancing the reliability of the power system.
