A system for Quality assessment of Forestry Contractors
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The forestry services market is dynamic, requiring skilled contractors to meet demand and maintain competitiveness. However, knowledge of their efficiency, social responsibility, and environmental impact is often limited. This is especially problematic during large-scale disturbances when forest owners lack information on service providers' quality and reliability. To address this, the “MojGozdar” system was developed in Slovenia. It assesses forestry contractors on three levels: formal suitability, expert evaluation, and customer ratings. The system emphasizes sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and environmental responsibility, helping forest owners connect with reliable contractors and improving service quality through user feedback.
