Seamless Execution of Scientific Workflows Across Transatlantic OSCAR Clusters for Serverless Event-Driven Computing

Abstract: This project highlights the integration of the OSCAR serverless platform with the Common Workflow Language (CWL) to enable seamless execution of scientific workflows across transcontinental clusters. By bridging resources from Europe’s EGI federated cloud and the USA’s Chameleon Cloud, this work demonstrates the flexibility and efficiency of the tools developed, which can be applied to a wide variety of DTs, including applications in environmental science, physics, and beyond.
