Abstract: This study investigates the changing responsibilities of accountants in the age of artificial intelligence, with a focus on their increasing involvement in strategic interpretation and decision-making. This paper examines future developments such as the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) with developing technologies, ongoing progress in machine learning, and the regulatory consequences. In conclusion, significant progress, obstacles, and prospects are summarised, illustrating a future in which artificial intelligence and accountants work together to create a flexible and robust accounting system environment.
