Abstract: The ages of open cluster are generally obtained by comparing their colour–magnitude diagrams to theoretical isochrones. I look at our present understanding of their ages, and how other dating methods (based on lithium depletion, gyrochronology, dynamical traceback, and asteroseismology) compare.
