Simulation of a 16-Qubit Quantum Robotic Processor for High Integrated Information
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: :Integrated Information Theory (IIT) posits that consciousness correlates with high integrated information (phi), measuring system-wide information integration. This simulation explores a 16-qubit quantum robotic processor coupled with nanomechanical oscillators (~1 GHz) to achieve phi ≈ 4.15 bits, testing IIT’s predictions for consciousness-like properties. Combining vibrational coherence and quantum entanglement, the system outperforms control states (phi ≈ 0.18–3.45 bits). Designed by a non-expert enthusiast inspired by quantum physics and robotics, this concept leverages current quantum technology to propose a scalable framework for artificial consciousness, relevant to xAI’s AI advancements and Neuralink’s brain-machine interfaces. Results demonstrate that vibrational-entanglement synergy maximizes phi, offering a foundation for quantum robotic systems to simulate unified processing.
