Abstract: Indian culture is the best cultural guru among world cultures. Why does human society still value culture? Even in the midst of scientific development, culture is still valued. The foremost thing in human culture is social relations. We see humans living as ethnic groups in the five-tribe classification. Since then, it is not an exaggeration to say that relations have been an important factor in social progress. All the ideas that can be learned through Sangam literature depict domestic life in the inner literature and war events in the outer literature. Eighteen books record moral concepts. Eleven of these are moral books, and some books deeply record the idea of impermanence. Thirukkural, without completely different from these books, has made it clear that family relations are also included in moral life. This article examines how the duties of a virtuous man are depicted in the Thirukkural.
