Anchored Expansion Theory: A Scalar-Driven Model of Temporal Gravity

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Anchored Expansion Theory (AET) proposes that gravity arises from resistance to the forward flow of time, modulated by mass, rather than from spacetime curvature. In this framework, cosmic expansion is identified with a literal propagation of space into the future. We construct a relativistic field theory where this resistance is mediated by a scalar field φ, derive its field equations, and analyze the Newtonian and cosmological limits. In this framework, cosmic expansion is identified with a literal propagation of space into the future. I construct a relativistic field theory where this resistance is mediated by a scalar field, derive its field equations, and analyze the Newtonian and cosmological limits. AET naturally reproduces gravitational acceleration, late-time cosmic acceleration, and matches observational data on H(z), structure growth, and redshift-space distortions without invoking dark energy. These results suggest AET may offer a viable alternative to Lambda-CDM cosmology. STATUS NOTE (July 2026): This is the original May 2025 formulation, preserved as the theory's first public record. The scalar field-equation formulation presented here has since been superseded by a nonlinear (AQUAL-class) form; an updated treatment is in preparation.rowth, and redshift-space distortions without invoking dark energy. These results suggest AET may offer a viable alternative to ΛCDM cosmology.
