Abstract: Andrena (Melandrena) layiae Timberlake, 1951 [Holotype: UCRC; ♀ Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico; April 24, 1941] The holotype female of Andrena layiae is from Ensenada, BC. We examined one male reported by Bouseman & LaBerge (1970) from the Succulent Coastal Sage collected in March 1960 (EMEC). See fig. 13.
