Language Before Language

Abstract: This work began with the words that remain without being written. It grew from moments where the rhythm and breath flowing between bodies outlast speech, and meaning is transmitted without record. Moving between ancient marketplaces and modern cafés, gestures, glances, and the length of silences become sentences, and people read them. It is an exploration of pre-linguistic language, of how sensation and rhythm generate structure, and how that structure sustains culture and meaning. Here, language is not a set of words and rules, but a living flow shaped by body and rhythm. The work spans linguistic isomorphism, gesture studies, usage-based linguistics, and the phenomenology of language, tracing the path by which language begins in the body and returns to the body again.
