Abstract: Multifunctionality and polysemy are also characteristic of lexical units of verbs in the Russian and Uzbek languages, the study of which is relevant in the context of modern trends: typological study of languages with different structures. The peculiarity of the verb system in the Russian and Uzbek languages also lies in the fact that significant differences are observed in relation to the functional and grammatical plan of vocabulary units of this lexical and grammatical subsystem of verbs.
