Type: article
Abstract: Tourism is a multidimensional global industry that not only drives economic growth but also fosters intercultural communication. In this dynamic field, language plays a crucial role, particularly in shaping and transmitting tourism-related concepts. This article aims to analyze the semantics of tourism terms by exploring their denotative and connotative meanings, metaphorical usage, cultural influences, and semantic shifts. By examining examples from various subfields of tourism such as ecotourism, cultural tourism, and digital tourism, this study seeks to provide a deeper understanding of how language reflects and influences tourism practices.
