Abstract: This article focuses on assessing evaluating foreign language development in primary school learners, emphasizing the importance of age-appropriate tools and methods. Effective assessment strategies, such as formative and summative evaluations, play a key role in monitoring language acquisition, identifying challenges, and improving instructional approaches. Observation, portfolio-based assessments, and oral tasks are particularly effective for young learners, as they align with their developmental needs. Additionally, integrating cultural and interactive elements fosters motivation and a deeper connection to the target language.
