Abstract: This dataset was developed to support the journal article titled "Shoreline Dynamics of Barrier Islands in the Gulf of Mexico: A 30-Year Comparative Analysis of Developed vs. Undeveloped Islands." It is made publicly available to comply with journal requirements for data transparency and to ensure reproducibility of the research. The dataset comprises 1) a complete ArcGIS Pro project containing spatial data for three barrier islands: Dauphin Island, Petit Bois Island, and Horn Island; 2) the links for the original datasets and the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) version 6.0; and 3) the result reports. These transects form the basis for the shoreline change analysis and were produced in accordance with the procedures outlined in the DSAS Version 6.0 documentation (Himmelstoss et al., 2024).
