Abstract: The article focuses on the contribution of George Edgar Vincent, in the scientific disclosure in sociology in America and on his idea of so-ciology. Vincent was a pioneer in many sociological fields, recognizing great importance to education, instruction, social mind, social tradi-tion and social memory. Fundamental is his interest and concrete commitment to the University. The aim of this article is to show its relevance.
