Abstract: This study sought to determine if a person’s knowledge, or lack thereof, correlates with their perception of AI. This study also compared and contrasted the data of two different sample groups, recent college graduates and working professionals between the ages of 20-50, to determine if the results are similar or different. This study was conducted to answer the following questions: How does AI awareness contribute to an individual's level of fear of AI? How does AI awareness and fear influence career choices and decisions? How does AI awareness and fear affect peoples’ views around job stability? The participants of this study participated in an interview. This study will be used as a starting point by future researchers studying the relationship between AI and humans.
