Through a fictional conversation with an AI, the current situation in scientific publishing – including the replication crisis, predatory publishing, and the rise of AI-generated content – is described with a humorous lens. The article raises provocative questions about the future of publishing and outlines radical solutions to reform the system, while discussing the loss of trust and scientific depth.
