Abstract: Acanthoscelides trinotatus (Pic, 1927). Combination confirmed. Bruchus trinotatus Pic, 1927a: p. 33. From labels: “Bresil / nova Freiburg / (Gounelle)” [Brazil]. Male syntype deposited in the MNHN. There is a “ Holotype ” label affixed to this specimen not added by M. Pic. However, the original publication does not designate a holotype nor does it indicate the number of specimens examined. Because no lectotype has been published, this must therefore be considered a syntype. Bruchus trinotatus: Pic (1933), p. 16 (mentioned).
