Abstract: The study aimed to determine the level of ideological polarization among selected registered voters in terms of political concepts, social issues, and economic issues; determine the level of affective polarization among selected registered voters in in terms of in-group feelings and out-group feelings; and identify the relationship between the level of ideological polarization and level of affective polarization among selected registered voters. The researchers utilized a quantitative method with correlational design in the study to effectively identify the relationship of the variables. It took place on Barangay San Francisco, General Trias City, Cavite from where the 380 registered voters were surveyed. Survey questionnaire was utilized by the researchers in gathering the data. The results revealed that the respondents have moderate level of ideological polarization (Mdn = 2.81) which implies that their ideological beliefs are not solely limited between two rivaling ideologies. Likewise, the respondents have moderate level of affective polarization (M = 2.60, SD = 0.60) which only implies that they have ordinary level of hostility and affability towards their in-group and out-group. Lastly, Kendall’s tau-B correlation revealed that the two variables have a significant weak positive correlation.
