Abstract: 5. Andrena (Chlorandrena) taraxaci Giraud, 1861 Listed by Meena & Dey (2019): North India, Bihar. Remarks Andrena taraxaci is a West Palaearctic species, with the East Asian subspecies ssp. orienticola Strand, 1915 currently in the process of being elevated (Schwenninger 2015; Xu & Tadauchi 2002; Wood, in review). There is no evidence to suggest that this species as currently defined is present in India (or indeed any Chlorandrena species at all), and so this species is excluded from the Indian fauna.
