The Study of Palaiyanuur Neeli through Helen Cixus Feminism thoughts
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The purpose of this article is to explore the concepts of Palayanur Neeli based on the feminist thought of Helen Cixus and the way 'Neeli' is portrayed in the patriarchal society. There are many legends about Pahalyanur Neeli, the main character 'Neeli' in Neelakesi, one of the five small epics. Folklore traditions appearing before and after 'Neelakesi' are recorded in oral tradition and literature. While 'Language' is a male-dominated language in the records, 'Neeli' presents a study of allusions aimed at expressing the feminine feeling.
