Abstract: There are many factors that make students have difficulty mastering poetry writing skills, such as a lack of internal and external motivation to learn and a lack of desire to try to explore their own potential in the field of writing. The ability to write poetry of class This research aims to describe the differences between the influence of the Imagination Suggestion method and the Think-Pair-Share method in developing students' imagination in learning to write poetry. Experimental methods with a quantitative approach were used in this research. This research uses a True Experimental Design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The control class group used the Think-Pair-Share method and the experimental class group used the Imagination Suggestion method. The results of the posttest using the Imagination Suggestion method treatment achieved a school KKM score of 75 with an average score of 84.50. When compared with the posttest results of the Think-Pair-Share method with an average score of 61.4, which means the effect is not very significant on students' imagination abilities when writing poetry, the Imagination Suggestion method has a much greater influence.
