Abstract: Syrphoctonus atamiensis Ashmead, 1906 Syrphoctonus atamiensis Ashmead, 1906: 183. Homotropus atamiensis: Dasch, 1964: 141. Homotropus atamiensis: Townes et al., 1965: 403. Remarks. The holotype of Syrphoctonus atamiensis Ashmead, 1906 has no mesosoma or wings. The original description only provides information on body length and colouration. Thus, generic identification of this species is impossible. Therefore, we treat this taxon as incertae sedis. Distribution. Japan (Honshu).
