Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Human evolution is a continuous process determined by the action of elementary factors of evolution: mutations, genetic drift, migration, and natural selection. This article analyzes the impact of each factor on the modern human population, considering both positive and negative consequences. The mechanisms of action of these factors, their role in the formation of human genetic diversity, as well as examples of their impact on the development of diseases, adaptation to the environment, and the evolution of human culture are described. In conclusion, the prospects for human development in the context of evolutionary processes are discussed.
