Abstract: : The importance of employee work satisfaction in fostering greater loyalty and involvement in an organisation has led to substantial research in this field. If given the chance to advance and improve, employees can work more efficiently and productively. In public sector banks, this study looks at how employee engagement affects work satisfaction. The overall health and productivity of employees in the banking sector are significantly influenced by employee engagement and job satisfaction. In order to improve job satisfaction through effective employee engagement practises, the study intends to investigate the relationship between these variables and develop enhancement measures. The basis for this study is a thorough examination of the literature on work satisfaction and employee engagement in the banking industry. The study's data are gathered through surveys given to workers at public sector banks. The surveys provide verified indicators of job satisfaction and staff engagement. To investigate the relationship between the variables and find important determinants of job satisfaction, statistical methods like correlation and regression are used. The study's conclusions show a strong and positive correlation between work satisfaction and employee engagement in public sector banks. It is clear that engagement is crucial in determining employees' total job satisfaction because engaged workers are more likely to report higher levels of job satisfaction.
