The role of discipline in the practical activities of a medical doctor

Abstract: Persistence is the main element in the healthcare industry, which affects the speed, accuracy, and ethical reasoning of doctors at the very heart of their jobs. It, in turn, leads to the adherence to the medical guidelines, works for the patient's hospital treatment, setting doctors to professional growth. A determined medic makes the proper use of time, sticks to the principles of ethics, and shows the capability to overcome difficult times with grace. This text touches upon the relevance of discipline in the different aspects of a doctor’s practice such as taking care of a patient, choosing the right medication, cooperating with members of the team, and being educated professionally.
