Enhancing Online Learning Acceptance: The Role of Accessibility, Quality Assessment, Interactivity, and Flexibility among Undergraduate Students in Malaysian Universities

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: : This study aims to explore the relationship between key factors—accessibility, quality assessment, interactivity, and flexibility—and the acceptance of online learning among undergraduate students in Malaysian universities. Conducted at the University Technology MARA (UiTM) Terengganu, Dungun campus, this research focuses on degree students from the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Hotel Management. Specifically, students in Operations Management, Finance Management, Hotel Management, and Food Service Management are included. Employing a correlation study design, the research investigates the interplay between independent variables (accessibility, quality assessment, interactivity, and flexibility) and the dependent variable—the acceptance of online learning. Data collection occurs through questionnaires, minimizing interference with normal academic activities. Additionally, secondary data from relevant journal articles inform the study. The study reveals moderate correlations: acceptance of online learning with accessibility (0.495) and quality assessment (0.451). Interactivity shows a weaker relationship (0.339), while flexibility exhibits a moderate correlation (0.527). Overall, flexibility plays a central role in online learning acceptance. All hypotheses are supported, achieving all the study's objectives. Keywords: Online Learning Acceptance, Undergraduate Students, Accessibility, Quality Assessment, Interactivity, Flexibility
