Leveraging AI for Cybersecurity in Cloud Ecosystems
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This research examines the efficacy of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in enhancing threat detection within cloud computing environments. Given the escalating security concerns in cloud-based systems, AI methodologies, including machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and anomaly detection, are increasingly critical in improving security mechanisms. This study evaluates various AI-based techniques across different cloud platforms through simulated threat scenarios to assess their capabilities in real-time threat identification and mitigation. Results demonstrate substantial improvements in detection accuracy and a reduction in false positives, highlighting the potential of AI in fortifying cloud security systems against advanced cyber threats. The findings advocate for integrating AI into existing cloud security infrastructures, suggesting that such an approach can offer more dynamic and adaptable security solutions. Future research directions are proposed, focusing on developing self-learning security systems and leveraging AI's predictive capabilities to preempt security breaches, thereby paving the way for more resilient cloud environments.
