Abstract: ABSTRACT When mining deposits represented by rock and semi-rock formations, the drilling and blasting method of preparing rocks for excavation and loading operations is traditional. Along with certain advantages, drilling and blasting operations have a number of disadvantages, the most important of which is the significant danger of mining operations, both in terms of seismics, increased dust and gas release, and the scattering of pieces. At the same time, when developing multi-strength massifs, the blasting quality is low and the oversized yield is high, which leads to high costs for preparing the rock mass for excavation and loading operations. The issues of purity and completeness of extraction of minerals from the subsurface are also very important. The traditional mining technology, which provides for drilling and blasting preparation of rock mass for excavation and loading operations, is characterized by an increase in mining costs, due to a constant increase in prices for fuel, materials and services, as well as a deterioration in mining conditions. One of the ways to reduce mining and transportation costs is to switch to highly profitable technologies using fundamentally new equipment for open-source development, capable of combining basic mining processes such as drilling, blasting, loading and a significant part of crushing processing. One of these types of equipment is mining combines. This article examines the issues of efficient use of mining combines in the development of the Yangikazgan gold deposit, and also provides the advantages and disadvantages of using this type of equipment in open-pit mining.
