Abstract: This paper presents an enhanced design of the transmission gearbox, which constitutes a pivotal element of the vehicle drivetrain system. The gearbox is responsible for transmitting torque from the engine to the wheels, which is a crucial aspect for enhancing engine efficiency and vehicle dynamic performance. This configuration enhances the technological and operational capabilities of the gearbox, while increasing its unification. The paper outlines the principal design elements, including input and output shafts, planetary mechanism, clutches and brakes, as well as the operating principle across two speed ranges. The new design approach enables load shifting and enhanced transmission performance. The research is applicable to transportation engineering, including self-propelled machines such as tractors. Since the introduction of the first automobiles, gearbox designs have undergone significant changes due to advances in technology and evolving vehicle requirements.
