The Impact of Acoustic Conditions on Students' Psychophysiological Well-being and Academic Performance in Higher Education Institutions: Assessment and Optimization Approaches
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: In today's educational landscape, creating a healthy and productive learning environment for students in higher education institutions has become a pressing concern. Among the various factors that affect students’ academic success, the quality of the acoustic environment plays a significant role. Noise—defined as uncontrolled or disruptive sound—can negatively influence both the mental and physical health of students. The transition from high school to university often brings stress, requiring adaptation to new environments, which can be exacerbated by constant exposure to noise.
