Surgical treatment of distal esophageal cancer. A case report

Abstract: Background: In Mexico we do not have statistics on esophageal cancer, but there has been an increase in the presentation of this disease, mainly due to the increase in life expectancy. These patients require multidisciplinary management, mainly surgical. In this case we present a 71-year-old female with esophageal cancer in the distal third, who underwent esophagectomy, with a good evolution in the first months of surveillance.
