Abstract: The first part of deliverable D4.3 provides a description of the reference facilities considered in the CaLby2030 project, the methodology and the definition of the various key performance indicators (KPIs) considered for energy, technical and economic comparisons. The integration of the various reference plants with a MEA solvent-based CO2 capture system is then described and analyzed. These plants are considered as benchmarks for comparing the performance of Calcium Looping (CaL) systems, which are analyzed in detail from an energy, technical and economic point of view for the different sectors in the last part of the deliverable.
