Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: In the ever-evolving landscape of research, software sustainability stands as a cornerstone for progress. The Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) is at the forefront of this mission, advocating for the recognition of software's pivotal role and championing better practices in its development and usage. Central to the SSI's activities is its Fellowship Programme, which is aimed at cultivating a community of ambassadors who champion good computational practices across diverse research domains. Through the Fellowship Programme, professionals are empowered to drive sustainable software practices forward, fostering collaborations and innovations that transcend disciplinary boundaries. In this presentation, I'll delve deeper into the Fellowship Programme, outlining its objectives, discussing its impact, and providing insights on the application process. Furthermore, I'll shed light on the recently launched Mentorship Programme, which is designed to enhance the impact and leadership skills of our Fellows.
