Abstract: The article examines the relationship between family emotional communications, strong-willed personality traits and addictive behavior. An important place in the work is occupied by the consideration of the influence of such factors as family emotional communications and volitional personality traits on the formation of a tendency to addictive behavior in an individual. The paper analyzes the influence of the family on the formation of a tendency to addictive behavior, as well as how strong-willed personality traits can influence addictive behavior. The main part of the article focuses on the analysis of theoretical works related to the research problem. In conclusion, the article briefly examines the factors of addictive behavior formation, while the main focus is on social and biological factors.
