The Power Struggle: A Systematic Review of the Impact of Women's Empowerment on Men's Sense of Power and Control
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article systematically reviews the complex dynamics between women's empowerment and men's sense of power and control in society. As women gain greater access to education, employment, and leadership roles, there is an ongoing debate on how these shifts impact traditional gender roles and male perceptions of authority. This study critically examines the psychological, sociological, and economic implications of women's empowerment on men, considering both positive and negative effects. The study employs qualitative research in which it utilizes a systematic review of the literature. The findings suggest that while women's empowerment contributes to greater equality and societal progress, it also presents challenges in redefining masculinity and power structures.
