Abstract: In an era where globalization has redrawn the maps of life, culture, and identity, Mohsin Hamid's Exit West emerges as a poignant narrative that captures the intersection of personal stories with the macro forces of global change. This research paper, titled From Here to Anywhere: Exit West and the Personal Stories of Globalization, delves into the novel's exploration of migration, love, and the quest for belonging against the backdrop of a world in flux. Through the lens of the novel's protagonists, Saeed and Nadia, the study examines the human dimensions of globalization, particularly how individuals navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by a globally interconnected world. The novel's magical realist portrayal of doors serving as instant portals to other parts of the globe serves as a metaphor for the unprecedented mobility and connectivity that define the contemporary era, while also highlighting the barriers of nationalism, cultural dislocation, and the search for identity that migrants face. This paper argues that Exit West offers a unique perspective on globalization, one that foregrounds the personal and emotional landscapes altered by global forces.
