Abstract: Tridax procumbens Linn. Commonly known as “Ghamra” or “Coat Buttons,” is a medicinal plant belonging to the Asteraceae family and widely distributed across India and other tropical regions. Traditionally used in Ayurveda, it exhibits various therapeutic properties such as anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, hepatoprotective, antidiabetic, and wound healing activities. The plant’s wound healing potential is especially noteworthy, addressing a critical need for effective treatment options for chronic wounds, particularly in diabetic patients. Chronic wounds in diabetes, including diabetic foot ulcers, represent a growing health burden globally, often leading to severe complications such as osteomyelitis and limb amputation.
