Whitepaper -The Trace Economy. Redefining Cognitive IP and Contributor Equity in the Post-AI Era.
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This whitepaper formally introduces Unifaircation™ and the Trace Economy Protocol™, developed by Stephen J. Coupland and is governed bythe accompanying Unifaircation Licensing Agreement v1.0 included in this record. All derivative use must comply with its terms. It addresses the crisis of attribution, recognition, and reward in a cognitive landscape saturated by AI-generated outputs. The paper proposes a new system of trace-based intellectual registration, refinement logging, and residual distribution that enables granular and just economic recognition for contributors. Submissions serve as living, evolvable documents; contributions are logged, validated, and weighted; and the Unifaircation8020 model ensures that all commercialization is trace-aligned. This document functions as both theoretical foundation and implementation blueprint for epistemic equity in the post-AI world.
