Abstract: 10. Astrocaryum princeps var. vitellinum Barbosa Rodrigues (1888: 50). Type:—not designated and no specimens cited. Neotype [designated by Glassman (1972: 20) as “type”, here corrected]:—Illustration in Barbosa Rodrigues (1903b: Tab. 79C). = Astrocaryum tucuma. Notes:— Barbosa Rodrigues (1888) did not designate a type or provide any other original material in the Astrocaryum princeps var. vitellinum protologue. In this case, Glassman (1972) typified the illustration (Fig. 7) of this variety in Barbosa Rodrigues (1903b). Here, we acknowledge this illustration as a neotype.
