Perceptions of the Educational Component of an Integrative Intervention Program to Reduce Aggression in Men Convicted of Domestic Violence: A Qualitative Study

Abstract: The present study aimed to collect and analyze perceptions of the educational component of an integrative intervention program to reduce aggression in men convicted of domestic violence. The study involved 21 participants, aged between 20 and 45 years, men convicted of various domestic violence offenses, according to the Romanian Penal Code. Given the objective of the study, the research method selected is the grounded theory method. The study was conducted in two stages: the first stage consisted of a qualitative focus-group approach and the second stage consisted of a face-to-face interview with each participant. The results of the interviews allowed the identification of major interlinked themes of interest. The obtained results are discussed based on specialized literature.
