Abstract: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 marks a significant paradigm shift in India's educational landscape, aspiring to create a holistic, flexible, and multidisciplinary system fit for the 21st century. IKS is not stepping back in the historical era but a process of connecting the dots between old and new knowledge. IKS will help the learners to broader their vision to look at the world with strong foundation of own cultural root. The nature, rationale behind inclusion and implementation of IKS in NEP is a matter of utmost significance discussed in this discourse.
