Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The aim of this article is to demonstrate the prejudices and understand the competitive advantages of professionals aged 40 or over and people who have experienced motherhood. We used qualitative and descriptive research methods, as well as theoretical references that allowed us to deepen our knowledge of the subject under study. In order to collect the data presented, semi-structured interviews were carried out with professionals from different areas and positions, highlighting the information obtained in order to better develop the chosen topic. According to the outcome of the research, it was possible to understand the difficulties faced by these people, their perception of the skills they possess, and the needs and importance of programs and policies for effective inclusion and equity in companies. It is important to note that professionals over 40 and mothers do not shy away from the difficulties and challenges posed by the job market, seeking more equality in order to feel they belong in the corporate world.
