Abstract: Melissodes (Melissodes) gilensis Cockerell, 1896 [Syntypes: SEMC, USNM; ♀ Gila River, New Mexico, USA; August 12 and 16] Melissodes gilensis is distributed in Mexico and the southern USA. TAMU reports one preserved specimen record collected in the Magdalena Plains in Ciudad Constitución in June 1973 (GBIF 2023). The CARCIB team collected M. gilensis again in the Magdalena Plains in November 2016 and November 2017. See fig. 110.
