Removal of Aniline Dyes From Aqueous Solutions

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The current state of the problem of wastewater pollution by dyes has been analyzed. Due to the wide variety of dyes, their extraction from wastewater does not have a universal technology, and for some types of dyes such technologies have not been developed at all. Existing methods of extraction and destruction of dyes have been considered. Flotation extraction technology has been proposed, which allows for simultaneous removal and concentration of the pollutant. The extraction of aniline dyes methyl violet and malachite green has been studied using the example of model aqueous solutions with concentrations of 5-100 mg/dm3, which corresponds to the content of dyes in wastewater. Rational technological recommendations have been determined, which are advisable to use in the flotation extraction process: collector - sodium dodecyl sulfate (DSN); molar ratio (DSN:D) = (1:1); correction of the pH of the medium is not required (pH 4-5); process duration - 15 minutes.
