Abstract: The rapid growth of information technology (IT) and information communication technology (ICT) has brought the number of open source software (OSS) for library automation, digital library /institutional repositories, content management systems, etc. This software will help librarians implement it in the Library and provide better service to users. This paper discusses the implementation of OSS in two applications such as library automation (Koha) at Thiru A. Govindasamy Govt. Arts College, Tindivanam and the functionality of the various library services.
