Abstract: New records of the Xylomya maculata (Meigen, 1804) and Solva marginata (Meigen, 1820) (Diptera: Xylomyidae) from southwestern Poland.The study reports a new record of Xylomya maculata in the Opole region. We also provide the first confirmed occurrence of Solva marginata in Upper Silesia and the Opole region, as well as the first contemporary record of this species in Lower Silesia. Additionally, the record from Lower Silesia represents the first observation of S. marginata on wood piles in an urban environment in Poland.
